The town of McLeod Ganj, Himachal Pradesh is famous especially and foremostly for being a spiritual getaway and pilgrimage for the Buddhists. The reason behind that is it is home to the 14th Dalai Lama of the Buddhists, Lama Tenzin Gyatso, who came here in the year of 1960 after his exile from Tibet. Dalai Lama established Tibet Government in exile here at Dharamshala and made the quaint little town of McLeod Ganj as his permanent residence.

Apart from this, Mcleodganj is considered by many to be an adventurous hub, especially in terms of trekking in Mcleodganj. Home to one of the most beautiful, scenic and exciting treks of the country, the Triund Trek, Mcleodganj is the base camp for reaching the summit of the famous hill. Starting from Dharamkot in Mcleodganj, the 9 km trek leads the trekker through forests of Oak, Deodar, and Rhododendron before opening up to one of the best sceneries that you will find in the Himalayas.

Schedule Details

DAY 1 – DELHI TO DHARAMSHALA
  • Board your Volvo Bus from Delhi to Dharamshala. 
  • Overnight Journey to Dharamshala
DAY 2 – ARRIVAL IN MCLEODGANJ AND LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
  • On arrival at McLeod Ganj you will be transferred to the hotel. 
  • After Lunch, In the afternoon we will take you for the local sightseeing tour of McLeod Ganj. explore Dal Lake, Naddi, Bhagsu Nag Temple, Tibetan Monastery and The Holiness "Dalai Lama Temple “There are large idols of Buddha and the charming church of St. John in the wilderness.  
  • Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 3 – CHECKOUT FROM HOTEL AND TREK TO TRIUND
  • In the morning after breakfast we will check out from the Hotel. 
  • Our trek to triund will start from 10 am from Bhagsu taxi stand. Make sure you reach half hour before the trek starts. 
  • You will meet our guide at the meeting point. Then the ascend will start . It will take around 4 to 5 hrs to reach to thetop. 
  •  After reaching Triund you can have your lunch and spend some time at top to let the panoramic views sink in. Then we trek down to our campsite.
  •  After reaching the campsite evening snacks and tea will be served. Then we will fire up the evening with dinner around bonfire.
DAY 4 – TREK DOWN FROM TRIUND AND DEPARTURE TO DELHI
  • Wake up early to witness one of the most beautiful sunrises of your life.
  • Breakfast will be served in the morning at 8 am.
  •  After having breakfast, you start descending to bhagsu and it will take around three to four hours to reach bhagsu from our campsite.
  •  After that you are free to explore the local market. Chill, relax and sit in
  • one of the cafes. In evening depart back for the city.
